Privacy policy

This policy explains what Sylvo collects, why, and what you can do about it. The short version: we collect only what we need to run your reads and your account. We don't sell your data, we don't show ads, and we don't use analytics or tracking tools.

What we collect

Account details
Your email address, and your name if you sign in with Google. From Google we receive only your name, email and whether the email is verified — never your password or access to anything else in your Google account.
Sign-in details
If you use a password, we store only a scrambled (hashed) version of it, never the password itself. Email codes are also stored hashed, expire after ten minutes and are deleted once used.
Your reads
The coins and timeframes you analyze and the reads Sylvo produces, so you can reopen them in your history and so each new read can tell you what changed.
Chart screenshots
Screenshots you upload are read on our own server to identify the chart. They are not sent to any outside service, and they are deleted after 30 days.
Feedback
If you send feedback or join a waitlist, we keep your message and email so we can reply.
Technical data
Your IP address is used to apply rate limits and daily limits and to stop abuse. Rate-limit records expire within about an hour; the daily limit for signed-out visitors is kept for up to 90 days. For our own visitor counts we store only a one-way scrambled value that can't be turned back into your IP.
Payments
When you buy a plan, we store your email, the plan, the amount and the blockchain transaction ID — not your wallet's private details.

Cookies

We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in (it lasts up to 30 days, or until you sign out) and to remember that a signed-out visitor has used their preview read. The app also saves one small setting on your device so a one-time explainer isn't shown twice. There are no advertising, analytics or tracking cookies.

Who we share data with

Only the services needed to run Sylvo, and only what each one needs:

We never sell or rent your personal data. We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect Sylvo and its users from fraud or abuse.

Shared reads

When you tap "Share read", that one read gets a public link. Anyone with the link can see the read and its chart — but not your name or email.

How long we keep data

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to show you the personal data we hold about you, correct it, or delete your account and its reads — email usesylvo@gmail.com from the address on your account. We'll act on it within 30 days. Deleted data leaves our encrypted backups as they expire, within 30 days.

Security

Connections to Sylvo are encrypted (HTTPS), passwords and sign-in codes are stored hashed, and access to the servers is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your email and Google account safe.

Children

Sylvo is for adults. It isn't meant for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect data from children. If you think a child has signed up, email us and we'll delete the account.

International users

Sylvo is used worldwide, and its servers may be located in a different country from yours. By using Sylvo you understand your data may be processed outside your own country — always under this policy, with the same protections wherever it is handled.

Changes

If we change how we handle data, we'll update this page and the date at the top, and tell you in the app when a change is significant.
