Price has left the range the coin's last read drew.
No clean trend, at support — first retest of the 1.0095 breakdown
A range — no side in control.
DOT is in a range, inside a weekly downtrend. There is no run of higher or lower swings to call a trend, and ADX is 21 — under the 25 where a trend is real; price is boxed between 0.9456 and 1.0445.
The weekly picture: a weekly downtrend, 98% under the all-time high; on the daily, price is below the 200-day (1.032), and the 50-day is above the 200-day. The daily has no trend of its own.
Price broke below 1.0106 5 days ago, ran to 0.8687, and is now back testing 1.0106 from below for the first time — the old support has to hold as resistance. The first retest is where a breakout proves itself; a close back over 1.0106 means it failed. It does not stand alone: the round number 1.0013 and the 0.382 fib of the last swing sit at the same price.
DOT rose 28% to 1.2968 on the daily chart, then gave it all back, dropping 33% to 0.8687, and has since won back a little of that pullback. It is now trading in a 0.9456–1.0445 box, pressing on the floor.
Price is just above the 0.618 retracement of the last up-move, at 0.9456 — a common place for a pullback to stop.
Breakdown and retest at 1.010. It confirms if price stays below 1.010. A close above 1.050 cancels it.
The evidence sits on the sellers' side. Price is under the average price paid since the swing low (anchored VWAP 1.075), so the buyers since that low are under water. Price is under every average that matters: the Ichimoku cloud and the 200 EMA (the 20 under the 50). RSI is 37: sellers have had the stronger closes. So far it has not been enough to move price out of the box.
The trend is weak — ADX 21, under the 25 where a trend is real, with sellers only slightly ahead (−DI 29, +DI 14) — this is a box, not a trend.
Everything else on the chart: MACD is below its signal line, so the latest swing has downward momentum of its own. Everyone who bought since the last top is still losing (average since the swing high 1.381). Volume flow is flat (CMF -0.04, OBV falling) — volume is not taking a side. Price sits at the bottom edge of its 100-candle regression channel — as far from its own average path as it gets.
Volume is 0.4× normal — unusually light; volume is fading — fewer traders are taking part.
A high-volume price that price has not revisited (a naked POC) sits below at 0.8435; and another above at 1.16; value is migrating up (+16.4%) — the prices where most volume trades are moving higher; price is spending time inside value — the market is accepting these prices.
1.0445 is the line it has to clear.
1.0445 is the ceiling; price has not tested it on this chart yet.
0.9850, a 0.618 retracement 3.3% above price: sellers turned price there on 3 of 6 visits, on 2.2× the usual volume.
0.9670, a fib retracement 1.4% above price: sellers turned price there on 4 of 6 visits, on 2.3× the usual volume; it lines up with the weekly open.
The long-term lines: the 200-day average at 1.032 (+8.2%), the 50-day average at 1.123 (+17.8%), the yearly open at 1.791 (+87.9%), the quarterly open at 1.224 (+28.3%) and last year's range 0.9640–7.995.
0.9587, the prior day high 0.6% above price: sellers turned price there on 4 of 6 visits, on 2.3× the usual volume; it lines up with the 0.618 of the chart's whole range.
The last swing high at 1.204, not yet taken — the kind of spot where stop orders usually sit just above.
3 equal highs at 1.296, not yet taken — stops sit just above.
0.9369 is the level on the most timeframes — 3 timeframes (1D/4H/1H), 1 touch; resting liquidity sits at the same price.
Measured on the running drop from 1.297 to 0.8687, price has given back 20% of it — a shallow bounce. The golden pocket, 1.133–1.147, is where the 0.618 retracement of that drop sits. Its extensions mark 0.7523 (1.272) and 0.6041 (1.618) below.
0.7436 is where two separate tools meet: the 1.272 Fibonacci level of the last swing and a support.
0.8843–0.9154 is a demand zone: price fell into it, paused, then rallied hard (5 average candles in one move); it has been tested 2× since.
The nearest round numbers: 1.000 above and 0.9000 below.
Triple top — confirmed, measured move 0.5698.
A 4-touch support trendline just broke — the line is now near 1.144.
A 1D close past 1.0445 or 0.9456 changes the picture.
A 1D close above 1.044 breaks the range's ceiling; no tested level above it on this chart.
A 1D close below 0.9456 breaks the range's floor; no tested level below it on this chart.
Watch 1.0106: a 1D close back over it undoes the move.
Since the last read: the range from earlier today is still holding — unchanged, defending the 0.9300 support.
