Breakdown, retesting — selling climax at 1.097
A breakdown being tested.
GRAM is in a breakdown that is now being tested, inside a weekly downtrend. Price closed below the range it had been held in; the old floor is the line it is being tested on.
The weekly picture: between a bear and a bull phase, 86% under the cycle high. The daily has no trend of its own.
A selling climax printed 2 candles ago: volume ran 3.1× its average and the candle left a long lower wick to 1.097 — sellers emptied out and buyers absorbed it. A close back under 1.097 would put price past the climax's extreme.
GRAM broke down below the 1.286–1.585 range on the daily chart 6 days ago and has kept going — price is now 7% below the old floor. It rose 14% to 1.525, then dropped 28%, all the way back to 1.097, and has since won back about a third of that pullback. The 1.198 floor has caught price 8 times.
The daily structure had been coiling — lower highs pressing down on higher lows — until price broke the 1.341 swing low 10 days ago and has stayed under it. The 1.286 floor it just lost is now the first ceiling — a rally back into it that fails confirms the break; a close back above it makes this a false break. An imbalance (fair value gap) sits above at 1.261–1.310 — a stretch price ran through one way, with little trade back and forth.
The breakdown has backing. ADX is 36, a real trend, with sellers ahead (+DI 13, −DI 33). RSI is 39: sellers have had the stronger closes. MACD is below its signal line, so the latest swing has downward momentum of its own.
What doesn't fit: A bullish divergence on MACD: price set a lower low that momentum did not match, so the selling is losing force. Price is above the average price paid since the swing low (anchored VWAP 1.209), so the buyers since that low are in profit. Volume flow backs it — more volume has traded on up candles than down (CMF +0.17, OBV rising). These are the weak spots in the breakdown.
The rest of the chart points the same way. Everyone who bought since the last top is still losing (average since the swing high 1.437). Price is under the Ichimoku cloud, and the cloud ahead is bearish.
Volume is 1.5× normal.
A high-volume price that price has not revisited (a naked POC) sits above at 1.35; value is migrating down (-24.4%) — the prices where most volume trades are moving lower; price is moving through value quickly — the market is not accepting these prices.
1.300 is the line it has to clear.
1.300 is where sellers keep showing up: it held 6 of 7 visits, and the turns there ran 11.3% within 5 candles.
1.198, a fib retracement 0.2% below price: it turned price on its one visit, on thin volume — little traded there; it lines up with the anchored VWAP from the swing low.
1.235, the prior day high 2.8% above price: price went through it on its one visit; it lines up with the weekly open.
The long-term lines: the 50-day average at 1.388 (+15.4%), the yearly open at 1.631 (+35.8%), the quarterly open at 1.501 (+25.0%), last year's range 0.5570–5.838 and the previous cycle's high at 2.856 (+137.8%) (Dec 2022).
1.211, a 0.618 retracement 0.8% above price: price has not tested it on this chart yet; it lines up with the anchored VWAP from the swing low.
The last swing high at 1.396, not yet taken — the kind of spot where stop orders usually sit just above.
1.19 is the level on the most timeframes — 2 timeframes (4H/1H), 1 touch; an order block and resting liquidity sit at the same price.
Measured on the running drop from 1.525 to 1.097, price has given back 24% of it — a shallow bounce. The golden pocket, 1.362–1.375, is where the 0.618 retracement of that drop sits. Its extensions mark 0.9806 (1.272) and 0.8325 (1.618) below.
1.296 is where two separate tools meet: the 0.5 Fibonacci level of the last swing and a resistance.
1.349–1.370 is a fresh supply zone: price rallied into it, paused, then dropped hard (2.2 average candles in one move); price has not been back since.
A bearish breaker block at 1.298–1.348: an old order block that price has since broken through.
The nearest round numbers: 1.250 above and 1.000 below.
A 5-touch support trendline just broke — the line is now near 1.297.
A 1D close past 1.300 or 1.198 changes the picture.
Breakdown — closed below a 90-candle range; it holds while price stays under 1.286.
A 1D close above 1.300 puts price back inside the range it broke down from; no tested level above it on this chart.
A 1D close below 1.198 loses the floor inside a downtrend — a new low in the trend's direction; no tested level below it on this chart.
Watch for this: a 1D close back under 1.097 would put price past the climax's extreme.
Since the last read: still in a downtrend, unchanged since earlier today.
