Range, at resistance — stops run and structure flipped up
A range — no side in control.
HYPE is in a range. There is no run of higher or lower swings to call a trend; price is boxed between 83.11 and 86.83.
The weekly picture: between a bear and a bull phase, 12% under the cycle high; on the daily, price is above the 200-day (66.86), and the 50-day is above the 200-day. The daily has no trend of its own.
Price took out the 76.38 low — running the stops under it — snapped straight back, and then closed above the 82.54 lower high. That is a liquidity grab followed by a shift in structure: the sellers who chased the break are now on the wrong side of it. A close back under 76.38 undoes it. It does not stand alone: the 50 EMA and the 0.618 fib of the last swing sit at the same price.
HYPE has won back most of a sharp drop on the daily chart, but is slipping again. It fell 24% to 74.47, then bounced to 97.09, and has since given back about half of that bounce. It is now pinned in a tight 83.11–86.83 band, pressing on the ceiling.
Beyond the box, the next tested levels are 88.66 above and 76.38 below.
The evidence sits on the buyers' side. A bullish divergence on MACD: price set a lower low that momentum did not match, so the selling is losing force. ADX is 27, a real trend, with buyers ahead (+DI 28, −DI 15). Price is above the average price paid since the swing low (anchored VWAP 56.98), so the buyers since that low are in profit. So far it has not been enough to move price out of the box.
Everything else on the chart: MACD is above its signal line, so the latest swing has upward momentum of its own. Even those who bought at the last top are back in profit (average since the swing high 86.83). Price is above the 200 EMA, with the 20 EMA above the 50. RSI is 59, neutral — neither side's closes dominate.
Volume flow is flat (CMF +0.00) — volume is not taking a side. The squeeze released 3 candles ago, up — volatility is expanding again.
Volume is 2.0× normal — unusually heavy.
A high-volume price that price has not revisited (a naked POC) sits below at 55.97; value is migrating up (+36.0%) — the prices where most volume trades are moving higher; price is moving through value quickly — the market is not accepting these prices.
83.11 is the line it stands on.
83.11 is the floor, and it is contested: it held 3 of 7 visits. It is also the golden pocket and the 20 EMA.
88.66, the 2-TF resistance 2.7% above price: sellers turned price there on 4 of 5 visits, on thin volume — little traded there; it lines up with the weekly open.
87.86, the daily open 1.8% above price: sellers turned price there on 4 of 6 visits; it lines up with the 0.236 retracement of the chart's whole range.
The long-term lines: the 200-day average at 66.86 (−22.6%), the 50-day average at 85.47 (−1.0%), the yearly open at 25.45 (−70.5%) and the quarterly open at 90.98 (+5.4%).
86.83, the 3-TF resistance 0.6% above price: sellers turned price there on 3 of 6 visits; it lines up with the 0.236 retracement of the chart's whole range.
The last swing high at 97.09, not yet taken — the kind of spot where stop orders usually sit just above.
2 equal lows at 74.83, not yet taken — stops sit just below.
77.70 is the level on the most timeframes — 2 timeframes (4H/1H), 7 touches; an order block sits at the same price.
Measured on the running rally from 74.46 to 97.09, price has given back 48% of it — a pullback into the middle of the move. The golden pocket, 82.38–83.11, is where the 0.618 retracement of that rally sits. Its extensions mark 103.2 (1.272) and 111.1 (1.618) above.
Measured against the impulse before it (98.04 → 74.46), this pullback has retraced 50%; that leg's golden pocket is 89.03–89.79.
86.83 is where two separate tools meet: the 0.5 Fibonacci level of the last swing and a resistance.
57.09–59.47 is a fresh demand zone: price fell into it, paused, then rallied hard (3.3 average candles in one move); price has not been back since.
A bullish breaker block at 68.49–75.60: an old order block that price has since broken through.
The nearest round numbers: 90.00 above and 80.00 below.
A 1D close past 86.64 or 83.11 changes the picture.
A 1D close above 86.64 breaks the range's ceiling; no tested level above it on this chart.
A 1D close below 83.11 breaks the range's floor; no tested level below it on this chart.
Watch for this: a 1D close back under 76.38 undoes it.
Since the last read: the range from 2 days ago is still holding — unchanged.
